The Future of myMLA.ca

Built for Alberta. Designed for Canada.

Your Riding | Connected.

Every Canadian deserves the opportunity to understand their government, stay informed about their elected representatives, and participate meaningfully in the decisions that affect their communities.

That's the vision behind myMLA.ca.

Alberta Is Where We Begin.

Our first platform is being developed for Alberta's 87 provincial constituencies.

This initial launch will allow us to develop, test and improve a new approach to constituent engagement, government transparency and political accountability.

Through verified membership, access to public legislative information, MLA accountability tools and the Constituency Action Hub, we're working to make it easier for residents to engage with their elected representatives and one another.

Alberta is our starting point, not our final destination.

A Platform for Every Province.

If our Alberta launch proves successful, our long-term goal is to expand this model across Canada.

We envision platforms serving provincial and territorial legislatures, with constituency-specific information and engagement tools adapted to each jurisdiction's laws and democratic institutions.

Every province and territory has its own political structure, legislative procedures and accountability challenges. Our expansion would respect those differences while preserving the same commitment to accessible information, verified participation and constituent privacy.

Beyond Provincial Politics.

Our vision doesn't end with provincial legislatures.

We hope to eventually extend the myMLA.ca approach to federal and municipal government, allowing Canadians to better understand and engage with their Members of Parliament, municipal councillors and other elected representatives.

The name, interface and services may evolve to reflect different levels of government, but the principle will remain the same:

Government should be easier to understand. Representatives should be easier to hold accountable. Citizens should have practical tools to participate.

Independent by Design.

myMLA.ca is being developed as an independent, privately operated business.

We are not a political party, election authority or government agency. We do not endorse political parties or candidates.

Our business model is intended to support the ongoing development, security and operation of constituent-focused civic technology.

We believe this work can be both a sustainable business and a valuable public service.

Our Commitment to the Future.

As the platform grows, our priorities will remain:

  • Protecting personal information and verified constituency participation.
  • Making public government information accessible.
  • Encouraging informed, respectful constituent engagement.
  • Supporting organized collective requests without becoming a social media platform.
  • Maintaining political independence and transparent operating practices.
  • Expanding responsibly, one jurisdiction at a time.

It begins in Alberta. The vision is Canada-wide.
